“We believe good works is giving to the poor and the helpless, but divine works is showing them their worth to the one who matters.”

Who we are

Fundación Alianza Caribe, founded in 2007, is teaming up with partners in and outside Panama to take on some tough challenges in the area of the Caribbean coast of Panama: unemployment, extreme poverty, poor health care and limited education. We seek to ensure that all people – especially those with the fewest resources – have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life.
By improving the quality of living of the local families and decrease levels of unemployment in the region we aim to provide an economic alternative for deforestation and illegal hunting & wildlife Trade.

We initiate, promote and fund innovative ideas that could help remove these barriers: new techniques to help farmers in the area grow more food and earn more money; new tools and methods to improve local health care; new eco-tourism projects to create employment and promote the region as an eco-tourism destination and new implementations of rainforest conservation.

We’re all driven by optimism. We believe by doing these things – focusing on a few big goals and working with our partners on innovative solutions – we can help every person living on the Caribbean Coast of Panama to get the chance to live a healthy, respectful and productive life.

Panama is one of the most advanced economies in the region. However, it is among the most unequal countries in the world. I am a founder of a family Real State firm and a business and financial consultant, I am genuinely convinced that empowering communities and preserving nature it is the right path towards communities sustainable development. Therefore, the work the foundation is doing to provide communities with the right sets of skills and education to graduate from poverty; it is remarkable. This is why I become part of Fundacion Alianza Caribe. Because “alone we can do so little, but together we can do so much!.”
